Our aim with the Helical Specialist rod was to provide anglers with a versatile all-round tool capable to suit different conditions and species. We have opted for a test curve of 1.75lb when using the Avon top section which suits both summer and winter conditions in all but the heaviest of flows when targeting Barbel or Chub, or as a Tench or Bream feeder rod when fishing still waters.
