The ‘S’ Range specialist and Barbel rods have been around for some time now and still remain very popular. Made from the 36t low resin Japanese carbon that has served so well for the actions needed for species like Tench, Bream, Chub and Barbel and fitted with full cork handles, stainless steel fittings, Clone reel seat with isotope slot and ‘S’-Lite guides.
The Big River Barbel was again developed with the help and advice from Steve Pope. Following the success of the Barbel Seekers he felt we needed an additional rod with more power in the butt to middle to cope with the flows when rivers like the Trent, Wye and Severn are in spate conditions, at around 2.25lb TC it will cope with pretty much anything you need it to.
The Seeker Specialist is 12’ and designed for specimen fishing for Bream, Tench, Chub and smaller Barbel. With a somewhat progressive action that makes it easier to fish weedy waters where harsher rods can lead to hook-pulls or line breakage.
There are 5 models in the new Spirit Specialist and Spirit Barbel range to cover many species including Barbel, Tench, Chub, Bream and Perch. Utilising Toray carbons and finished with a diagonal cosmetic weave these rods feature traditional full cork handles and black reel seats.

The 11’ 1.50lb makes an ideal small river rod when space is tight or when roving and travelling light. The 12’ 1.50lb is suited to river work but also makes an excellent Tench and Bream feeder rod. There are three models aimed at Barbel from the 1,.75lb all-round tool, the 2.25lb geared at bigger rivers where flows are stronger and the 2.75lb test curve – the tool for fishing for big Barbel in snaggy rivers, weir pools and flooded conditions where big leads are needed to hold bottom.
All rods are supplied with an Avon top section with the option to buy a separate quiver top section for finer fishing in winter or for shy biting species.
Discounts available on sets of rods, 5% on a pair 10% on 3 or more.
