The Shimano TX Plus Spod & Marker rod combines great value with powerful performance and is capable of casting all sizes of spod without being under powered. When using a marker float, the large sized tip guide enhances sensitivity, making underwater feature finding more accurate.
The Shimano TX Plus Spod & Marker rod is the perfect rod if you want a powerful spod marker rod, without the large price tag often associated with high quality performance. Unlike many mid-priced rods of this type, the Shimano TX Plus Spod & Marker rod has enough power to cast the largest spods, whist still retaining the sensitivity and finesse to be a worthwhile marker rod. For accuracy when using a marker float the blank is fitted with depth marker wraps. If you want the ultimate long rang spod rod, there are better models in the Tribal TX range, but they come at a cost. With the Shimano TX Plus Spod & Marker rod you get a fantastic combination of performance and value, in a rod that will never let you down. The full carbon blank can be relied upon to accurately place bait at surprisingly long range and the strong Seaguide SiC guides will cope with repetitive casting using braid. The addition of a large anti-frap tip guide also enhances feedback when using a marker float.
Whilst this model isn't our longest casting rod, there are two models for you to choose from depending on your preference - 12ft and 13ft, and for the cost, you will struggle to find a better cost/quality compromise.
