Designed to be used with a Ronnie or spinner rig incorporating either an ESP Quick Change D- sleeve, or shrink tube. The swivel provides 360 degree rotation on the metal ring for excellent hooking potential, and these booms are available with either 0.3g or 0.6g tungsten balance beads incorporated. This allows the angler to tailer the booms to a variety of hook and pop-up sizes.
Incorporating a size 11 uni-link swivel, these booms are designed to create the deadly effective stiff hinged rig, by tying or crimping the hook section to the swivel. The swivel provides smooth 360 degree rotation for excellent rig mechanics and hooking potential.
These booms comprise a super strong mini rig ring at the business end and are designed to complement the ready tied Combi Loop rigs which are available separately. The combination of these two products creates the perfect combi or ‘flipper’ rig which is a highly effective presentation, especially for bottom baits and wafters.

If you are looking for a reel to use for lightweight carp fishing, specimen fishing or competition feeder fishing for carp, the 4000 size is the perfect choice. The famous, easy to use Shimano free spool facility is a reassuring advantage when fishing bolt rigs and feeders, especially for carp and barbel when bites are often sudden and very aggressive. When engaged, the spool will give line with minimum friction until you pick up the rod and turn the handle, which instantly engages the front drag and enables you to continue the fight.
Although relatively small in size, the Baitrunner X-Aero 4000 is remarkably powerful and over the years it has been responsible for catching many exceptionally large specimen fish. The X-SHIP gear provides efficient smooth winding when under pressure and combines with the hi-torque 4.8:1 gear ratio and S A-RB bearings to produce impressive winding power.
The large diameter AR-C spool enhances casting performance and enables large diameter mono lines to be used with minimal trouble, although it is also perfectly suited to thinner braided lines. You can combine the X-Aero 4000 with many of the Shimano specimen, specialist and feeder rods. For small carp waters or stalking choose the shorter or lighter Tribal carp rods. For barbel match the reel to any of the specialist rods and for feeder fishing, especially for carp and tench, select one of the medium or heavy Aero feeder rods.
