All these hooks are hand sharpened to perfection and come fitted with point protectors and a sticker on the pack to verify they have been sharpened by Jason.
We took our most popular Wide Gape hook and made a few design tweaks. The result is our ultra sharp and strong Straight Point hook.
By elongating the shank we’ve made the Straight Point slightly longer than the Wide Gape and we’ve in turned the eye by 15 degrees. The biggest design feature, however, is the tapered, eye-wateringly sharp, straight point. The end result is creating one of the most versatile and efficient hooks we’ve ever made.
Strength and durability were also a key consideration when designing this hook. We’ve stepped up the gauge of the Japanese steel making this hook as strong as the other X gauge hooks in our range. It’s been forged and PTFE coated ensuring lasting durability whilst maintaining a razor-sharp point straight out of the packet.
The Straight Point’s versatility was a critical part of the design process. Whether you’re fishing pop-ups on Spinners or wafters on D-Rigs this hook has got you covered. They come with intermediate sizing and can be used for most modern carp rigs out there.
The Straight Points are available in sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 barbed and barbless and supplied in packs of 10.
