The Korda Wide Gape hook is based on the classic Maruta Kinryu spade end hook. The point is very slightly inturned so it still catches hold quickly but still creates a very secure hook hold. The eye is inturned 15 degrees to flip the hook over quickly. This is a modern day classic without doubt.
