Hi-‘S’ Power Feeder XSD
The new Hi-‘S’ Power Feeder XSD rods, especially the 13’ (390) version has been causing quite a stir both in the UK and on the continent. We have been testing these for extreme range feeder fishing and they have performed exceptionally, especially the 13’ (390) model.
These are based on the Barbel Feeders and feature a strong butt section and quiver top section with hollow carbon quiver tip. The tip fitted to the 12’ is 4oz and the 13’ is 5oz. The rods feature twin leg Butt and intermediate anti-frap guides with sizes stepped-up to allow for shock leaders. Hollow tips in 3oz,4oz and 5oz will be available shortly for these.
In testing these have been capable of casts well in excess of 130m and in the case of some European testing for Bream with slim braids have been out to 140-150m.
They have also been used to great effect at large UK still waters, (Boddington notably), with Hybrid feeders, bombs and solid bags.
