Free Spirit Hi S F1 Feeder 9ft
The Hi-‘S’ F1 Feeder is a refined tool built for delicate presentation and superb bite detection. Designed primarily for shy-biting F1s, it also performs brilliantly as a short-range bomb rod. In cooler months when the fishing gets tricky and bites are subtle, this rod gives you the sensitivity and finesse to convert every indication into a landed fish.
As the latest addition to the respected Hi-‘S’ range, the F1 Feeder combines exceptional responsiveness with a beautifully light and slim blank. It’s balanced to perfection, offering just the right amount of softness for light hooklengths without sacrificing control during the fight.
Whether you’re targeting winter F1s on commercials or using it for silverfish work, this rod provides a crisp, accurate cast and the feedback needed to make the most of even the most delicate bite.
Ultra-Light Precision for the Subtlest of Bites
The Hi-‘S’ F1 Feeder weighs just 100g, making it one of the lightest rods in its class. The ultra-slim blank is built using the same high-performance materials as the rest of the Hi-‘S’ range, delivering a smooth, progressive action perfect for both casting and playing fish on fine tackle.
Fitted with 0.75oz and 1oz hollow carbon quiver tips that match the main blank material, the rod maintains a consistent action right through the tip. This ensures a seamless curve when under pressure, enhancing bite detection and control even when using the lightest mainlines and hooklengths.
Fuji Reel Seat
Each rod is fitted with a Fuji TVS16 reel seat, chosen for its lightweight construction, excellent ergonomics and enhanced sensitivity. The ‘blank touch’ design allows direct contact with the blank, helping transmit subtle bites and feedback straight through to the angler’s hand, while maintaining a secure and comfortable grip during long sessions or hard fights.
Handle Options
The Hi-S Carp Feeder is available with a choice of handle styles to suit different angling preferences and fishing situations. Anglers can opt for a more traditional full cork rear grip, finished with an EVA butt cone, which offers greater support when playing powerful fish under the tip. Alternatively, the abbreviated handle with EVA butt grip provides a modern, minimalist look, reduces overall weight, and is easier to keep clean – particularly useful on busy commercial venues.
Quiver Tip Options
In addition to the supplied hollow carbon push-in tips, additional quiver tips are available separately to fine-tune the rod to specific conditions. Options include Hollow Carbon, Solid Carbon and Glass tips, with a range of strengths to cover everything from delicate winter bites to heavier feeder work. This flexibility allows anglers to adapt quickly to changes in venue, weather or feeding patterns.
