The DPM polyester upper is treated with a water resistant DWR coating and the outsole is made from TPR rubber which is not only lightweight but weather resistant too should you need to attend to the rods in event of a bite. They are small and packable so can be carried in your kit and worn when you need something lighter and more compact.
