These rods have been put through extensive testing over the last 2 years experimenting with different test curves to achieve the optimum performance when casting a fully loaded spod. The results proved a 5lb test curve to be the ultimate sweet spot for casting a spod at long range!
As well as a standard 12ft model we have also constructed for the first time a dedicated 13ft version which we have never produced before in the UK. This rod is designed to be used in conjunction with our Basiair, Basia and Infinity carp rods.
