This is Daiwa's first reel to feature the QDM drag system, letting you adjust the drag from open to closed via 3/4 of one turn. The more common QD only requires a 1/4 turn.
The LC Long Cast 45mm spool combined with Slow Cross Wrap line lay, applies minimal friction during line release, enabling extreme casting distances.
Tough Digigear II delivers ultra-smooth running and optimised power transmission – ideally suited tp retrieval of rigs over great distances.
The Daiwa Whisker is fitted with a 'C' spool (300m - 0.35mm) and comes supplied with two spare spools; 'LD' (530m- 0.35) and an 'SLD' (700m–0.35mm for large waters).
