OBLIVION X 10' Spod Rod
Back in the 90's we launched the Oblivion range of rods which proved to be big sellers for us and incredibly popular with those that used them, we have brought the name back this year but on a phenominal blank, a modern day evolution of the original Oblivions.
The blank is a 1k finish that is both very slim and very light and has a very quick tip speed recovery, the recovery helps promote easy long distance casting but without making the blanks overly stiff and sacrificing enjoyment when playing fsh close in.
The 10' Spod is around 4.75lb tc and will cast a fully laden Spomb no problem, put a Midi Spomb on there loaded and watch it fly, it will put it over 100yds! It will also double up as a Marker rod too as the resonance through the tip is crazy, drag back over a bar or gravel patch and the tip rattles like mad.
We have built these exactly the same as the main fishing rods with an American Tackle black hhoded reel seat, all back handle fittings and a 40mm Vortex Air set of guides, whippings are all in black with classy metallic Grey tippings around the handle area.
