The ‘S’ Range specialist and Barbel rods have been around for some time now and still remain very popular. Made from the 36t low resin Japanese carbon that has served so well for the actions needed for species like Tench, Bream, Chub and Barbel and fitted with full cork handles, stainless steel fittings, Clone reel seat with isotope slot and ‘S’-Lite guides.
The Big River Barbel was again developed with the help and advice from Steve Pope. Following the success of the Barbel Seekers he felt we needed an additional rod with more power in the butt to middle to cope with the flows when rivers like the Trent, Wye and Severn are in spate conditions, at around 2.25lb TC it will cope with pretty much anything you need it to.
The Seeker Specialist is 12’ and designed for specimen fishing for Bream, Tench, Chub and smaller Barbel. With a somewhat progressive action that makes it easier to fish weedy waters where harsher rods can lead to hook-pulls or line breakage.

Contents:
200g Pop Up Mix
50g Liquid Bait Preservative
How to make your pop ups:
1. Whisk 1 medium egg
2. Add the dyes, flavours and attractors of your choice
3. Add 15-20ml Liquid Bait Preservative to the liquid mix
4. Add pop up mix to create the desired paste texture (pliable but not sticky)
5. Leave paste in a sealed plastic bag for >30mins
6. Roll baits to size and shape required
7. Simmer in water for 1-2 minutes then leave to dry
8. Dry for further 24-72hrs depending on required hardness
Tips:
· The longer you dry your hookbaits, the more buoyant they will become.
· When your baits have filly dried, give them a light coating of your attractors and allow it to soak in, boosting their attraction potential.
· Try making different shaped pop ups such as dumbells and pyramids which are more unusual and often treated with less suspicion.
· To add further taste, aroma and visual stimulation just before you use them, try coring out a pop up before inserting a pre-attractor-soaked piece of different coloured foam.
