The ‘S’ Range specialist and Barbel rods have been around for some time now and still remain very popular. Made from the 36t low resin Japanese carbon that has served so well for the actions needed for species like Tench, Bream, Chub and Barbel and fitted with full cork handles, stainless steel fittings, Clone reel seat with isotope slot and ‘S’-Lite guides.
The Big River Barbel was again developed with the help and advice from Steve Pope. Following the success of the Barbel Seekers he felt we needed an additional rod with more power in the butt to middle to cope with the flows when rivers like the Trent, Wye and Severn are in spate conditions, at around 2.25lb TC it will cope with pretty much anything you need it to.
The Seeker Specialist is 12’ and designed for specimen fishing for Bream, Tench, Chub and smaller Barbel. With a somewhat progressive action that makes it easier to fish weedy waters where harsher rods can lead to hook-pulls or line breakage.

The anodised aluminium body features line-friendly retaining grooves, offering plenty of secure locations to evenly and neatly ‘wrap’ your line around without slipping. Precision-machined with a smooth profile, the line freely peels back off again once wound in. Three larger grooves towards the base of the sticks provide locations to secure the measuring cord, depending on the depth the stick is inserted into the ground. The ground spike is crafted from stainless steel, far denser than the lightweight aluminium body, to increase the strength of the stick and optimise penetration, allowing the hardened point to be driven easily into the ground.
The measuring cord allows you to set up the sticks a consistent 12ft/3.6m distance apart every time. It features adjustable, uniquely coloured Nite Glo markers with spiked ends that simply slide along the cord to the required distance for each rod, before being inserted securely into the ground.
The sticks slide neatly into the durable main compartment of the protective carry pouch, which is then sealed by a Velcro flap containing an integrated mesh pocket for storing the measuring cord.
